Pregame: Flyers v Jets

The Philadelphia Flyers match up today against the Winnipeg Jets. Winning both of the previous games against the Jets this year, the Flyers look to win today, adding to their 4 game winning streak. The Flyers, who have averaged 4.5 goals in their past games, have laid a foundation for their team late in the season. Every minute of this game needs to count, and they can not underestimate the Jets; late in this season the NHL has seen a few surprises.  The Flyers bring a strong power play to their game and have gone 7-for-7 on their penalty kill.  Bryzgalov continues to be solid in the net and this team, although without many players due to injury has adapted. Several players have consistently been scoring for the Flyers: B. Schenn, Voracek and Read. It has been great seeing the two newest Flyers preform in their first game with the team and Laviolette will probably play them again today. The Flyers need to play this game just like it were a play off game, push hard in the first 10 minutes of every period, grab a lead and run with it. The Jets, who have lost their past 5 games, average a 1.2 goal per game during their losing stretch.  The Jets will be looking to break their losing streak and take home a win but the Flyers are a midst their come back. The Flyers are set to take on the Jets at 3pm today.
